Years later, a fateful meeting

It was a rainy and cold evening. Looking out the window of her house, Anna noticed an old woman huddled in the corner of her house. Her clothes were dirty, her hair white and wet from the rain. The woman was shivering from the cold.

Anna didn’t think long. She went out, approached the stranger and said:

“Let’s go inside, you’ll catch a cold here.”

The old woman refused at first, but in the end she agreed.

At home, Anna gave her warm clothes, sat her down at the table, and served her soup. The woman smiled gratefully, as if no one had shown her such kindness in many years.

While they were talking, Anna’s attention was drawn to a peculiar mole on the old woman’s hand. She involuntarily froze. She also had a mole in the same place, in the same shape.

“Can I see your hand?” she asked, confused.

The old woman held out her hand. Anna compared it to her own hand. The moles were identical.

There was a moment of silence.

“I… grew up in an orphanage,” Anna said quietly. “I don’t know anything about my parents.”

The old woman’s eyes filled with tears.

“Forty years ago, I lost my little girl… and I’ve been looking for her all my life.”

In the days that followed, they began to study old documents and archives together. A few weeks later, a DNA test confirmed the truth.

The old woman was Anna’s mother.

The day Anna decided to simply help a homeless woman, she didn’t know that she was actually bringing her lost mother home.

Sometimes fate knocks on the door in the most unexpected way. A small act of kindness can change not only one person’s life, but also reunite an entire family.
